Run by the members for the members.

Introduction to the club

Barnsley Squash and Racketball club is a membership club. To play at the club, you need to be either a member, or the invited guest of a member.
The club has five courts, two are glass backed with seated viewing.
The club is represented by teams in the Yorkshire, Sheffield and District and Kirklees Calderdale leagues.
There are also internal club competitions, including annual tournaments and continuing leagues for the members.
Coaching is available at the club for junior and senior players from the club’s own coaches.

Squash

Played on one of five courts, two of which are glass backed. Excellent and well maintained courts that supports all squash players from the beginner wishing to get going through to Yorkshire Premier League standard

Racketball

Still a relatively new sport to the UK, Racketball has proved to be hugely popular at Barnsley, attracting equal membership from men and women, young and not so young.

Juniors

The club values very highly its youth development which is underpinned by a junior coaching programme. Junior group sessions take place on Tuesday evenings by a fully qualified and CRB checked Coach. Individual coaching for juniors is also available throughout the week on a one-to-one basis.

Coaching

Senior coaching is available on an ad hoc basis at a variety of levels. Central to this provision is our resident coach and former county player, Andrew Tressler. Please email via the website for details, availability and costs.

Leagues

In addition to social Squash and Racketball the Club also runs internal leagues for members to participate in. A great way to extend your social and playing network.

Competitions

The club also runs a range of internal and external competitions that you can take part in. From Club Championships, to regional team competitions.
